Completely agree...... Hinkley has presided over some truly appalling displays and has been guilty of some terrible tinkering, disrupting a working ruck just one example. Even if the miracle happens Port will have to make the GF for him to save himself.

To have the same number of scoring shots as your opposition & lose by 45 points is ridiculous.

The game is called "football" for a reason & if you can't kick the ball & hit a target then I am not sure why you are playing the game.

Whoever coaches St.Kilda next year has to improve the players skill in this area. The previous blokes attitude was they should be able to kick before they come to the club & then at members function asked if there was anyone there who could teach the players to kick.

Kicking for goal is definitely one area that the game has not improved, in fact seems to be going backwards.

Collingwood did everything in their power to kick themselves out of the game last night, some of the shots missed were disgraceful.

From what I hear they spend too much time practicing the "miracle" around the corner dribble kicks etc. when they should be spending hour after hour practicing the basic shots at goal to make sure they become automatic!

There is something in that for sure.

All year I have seen talented players, from all teams, lining up for simple drop punt goals on almost no angles, and then running sideways to do the lairy round the corner kick - and miss.

No idea why Captains or coaches do not give them a blast.

Bulldogs kicked the first 6 goals of the game and controlled it from then on. Secures them 7th spot on the ladder and eliminates Hawthorn, Adelaide and Port Adelaide from Finals contention.

Brisbane finish the season in 2nd position while Richmond move up to 3rd, meaning these two teams will face each other again in the first week of the finals, however that clash will be in Brisbane.

I believe for the first time in Stampboards AFL Tipping history, we have a repeat winner.

First Prize : -

I am slightly embarrassed to announce the winner is some guy called gmoney with a total of 137.

Second & Third Prizes : -

On the final ladder, we had a tie for 2nd place, with both Bak012 and Bunge finishing with a total of 132.

To decide the prizes, we had to go to the tiebreakers.

They were not able to be separated on the first tiebreaker as both had gained 2 bonus points by tipping a perfect round, ironically both did it in Round 13!

That took us to the second tiebreaker, the old fashioned countback.

Neither member tipped a perfect 9 during the season (Round 13 was a bye round of only 6 games).

Both members tipped 8 winners in a round once during the season.

The decider came in the number of times they tipped 7 winners in a round.

bak012 tipped 7 winners on 6 occasions however Bunge by tipping 7 in the final round amassed 7 occasions.

Therefore I declare the final results as follows :

I have been in Australia for almost 43 years, Never been able to deal with Vegemite or Aussie Rules-too many knock on,s/ forward passes and off sides. Yes I am a rugby union freak. Former St.Kilda captain & Richmond coach has been killed in a car accident near Ballarat today.

Footy personality dead after Victorian car crash

I will never forget some of the antics that he & other Ballarat based footballers would get up to on their trip down to training from Ballarat. And what he & Tony Lockett got up to after Tony won the Brownlow.
