I think this refers to
Reichenbach im Vogtland , since the cancel includes the word "VOGTLAND" just above the numerals.

One of todays little curiosities.
Nothing valuable, just a perfinned George V GB stamp, but it has a certain aesthetic ....
(You'll know you have OCD if, despite the symmetry, you still have to count the number of radial bars in each of the four sections!!).

Here is my latest "socked on the nose" stamp, received last week from an auction firm I have dealt with many times successfully in the past. The first adhesive issue from Norway was issued January 1, 1855. A four-skilling blue with wide margins and a bar-type cancel. I'm fairly sure it is not a reprint, as the faint watermark indicates it is not.
Unfortunately, I was rather unhappy with the way the well-known stamp auction firm shipped it; you can follow my posts regarding their negligence here (then scroll down to the
4th post ):

This stamp literally fell out of the pages of a recently-received stamp auction catalogue. I had to pinch myself as this is not my usual way of acquiring nice stamps!
Although not the best centering, as the early Italian and San Marino issues tend to run, I like the January 24, 1911 socked-on-the nose cancel. I recently got this from the above-mentioned auction firm.

Another one bites the dust ...
Postmark at 90% of stamp size = happiness, and collectable
Postmark at 110% of stamp = packet fodder.
(In fact, its damaged, so basically just scrap).

Australia 1937 2d Sesquicentenary “Man With Tail” stamp SUPERB USED:
Probably the most famous plate variety among Australian stamps, and certainly the most easily seen with the naked eye! Was corrected very fast, and not many exist on this issue, which had a massive 72 million stamps issued.
Clean and fresh and flat, with a superb crisp cds strike of small country town
“LEETON - 18 OC : 37 - NSW”. (17 days after issue.)
SG 139a £140=$A280.

The "PUBLIC OFFICES" cds is near always seen on Perf ''OS'' Roos, so quite a find! A gem.
Added this cool looking piece to stock today.
1915 6d SECOND WATERMARK Superb U on PO parcel label Fragment: Have never had one before. This was a small single Emergency print issued in the midst of WWI - when most stamp collectors, being men, were fighting and training overseas. As this was simply a totally unannounced watermark change, from the same colour 6d Blue 1913 First Watermark, few noticed, and even fewer cared.
This SG 26 was a small single Emergency printing on the KGV head watermarked paper. Why? - as the regular paper could not be sourced from Europe - due to allied shipping being sunk by Germans, and the 6d Blue Third Watermark was issued in the next year, so it had a VERY short life. Issued April 1915 the Third Watermark was printed November 1915 so a super short life.
On the thin gummed Post Official paper parcel label – the KGV heads design watermark shows super clearly when held to light. The official PO parcel label - the boxed admonition “STAMPS TO BE AFFIXED HERE” shows clearly under the stamps. ASC #18, is Cat $1,500 for the 6d - the 3 x 3d are $100 each. 6s is superb and well centred.
Amazing sharp upright strike of the SA Squared Circle “POINT PASS - DE 28 - 15 - S.A.” Use of any State type cancels, numerals and SC etc, was strictly against Regulations in the Commonwealth era, and the PMG sent nasty notes to any national PM who dared use them. All in all, great eye-appeal. Bought well - $1,500 cat minimum, for just $A400 (Stock 387BL)

Here is a slightly more unusual one,
a China coiling dragon with light West Kensington (London) squared circle cancellation applied on arrival - probably because of the almost absent red Chinese cancels on the stamp....
