I'm no longer familiar with Windwoes and not at all with Chrome, so any advice is going to be vague. Can you clear you Cache and delete cookies? Maybe uninstall and re-install Chrome.

Just had another disaster trying to post an image via imgur. After searching through numerous threads I finally found Norvics post that confirms you can only control image size and do what's required using their desktop website and not via their apps on mobile devices.

That pretty much stuffs me unless anyone has found a workaround for android?

Don't use imgur app folks it's a nightmare. I've had to dig out a laptop to use imgur desktop website to post this pic.If you only use a tablet or smartphone try to get their desktop website if you can (I couldn't).

That's a scan. Meant to post as a test in the practice thread but my brain is fried!

This postcard is the work of my wife, although I organise the stamps and postmarks.

We've not produced any others for a while but, being hand made in low numbers, they did prove popular (paid for a nice holiday!).

Looking at your avatar I wish I still had one to give you.

Another card with the same stamp won the FIP Best Maximum Card competition for 2011.

There's something about puffins in their summer plumage that appeals to most of us. My wife only made 10 cards and they went on eBay at good prices in no time.

I don't sell very often on eBay now, it's just too expensive and your listings seem to get buried by their search algo. I've also had so many silly cheap items in recent years that don't merit the cost of tracked shipping "go missing" and result in refunds. I hate the feeling of being ripped off by people who know genuine sellers who value their reputation will cave in immediately. Even seen a blog post telling people how to do it which made my blood boil. I swear there are people building wonderful free stamp collections based on £5 refunds!

I've been considering other venues such as hipstamp or ebid. I tried ecrater for a while. I've come to the conclusion that your own website is probably the best way forward if you do a good job, make it interesting and invest a few bucks in promotion. This opinion is in no short measure based on my admiration of your Norvic blog and linked ecommerce shop.

The problem is the original size of the photo, since the board only allows images of a width/height of up to 900 pixels.

If you have Photoshop, you can change the dimensions of the image before you upload it - that way, you will definitely avoid any problems with the image size. This can be done by clicking "Image" and then "Image Size", and adjusting the maximum dimensions to be 900px.

If you cannot change the dimensions before uploading, I think you can change the dimensions when you upload by choosing the 800x600 option (or smaller) in the "Auto resize" panel (I'm not sure if this works well since I don't use this method):

So I tried again, on imgbox and I'm still having difficulties.

I don't have Photoshop any more, so can't re-size ahead of time. I'll have to find out if I can re-size using this new MacBook Pro - I need a lesson on eating, anyway.

I just took out the "s" and now it seems to be working. imgbox is easy!

If you're using a Mac, you can resize in Preview. You can also change the colour intensity, brightness, contrast etc to make the image more useful - if necessary.

If you are on Windows, just right-click on the image file and select "Edit"

The default editor will open and you can select "Resize". You then must click on the "Pixels" button and reduce the largest value, (either Horizontal or Vertical), to 900.

Save it and you are ready to load into IMGUR.

Alternatively, using Imgur, you select in what size you are going to import the image, and the resizing takes place during importing.

With Imgur, you can edit picture size before upload ( :D no Imgur), as it uploads, or after its uploaded.

When you get the "cannot display over 900 pixels" on your preview, simply tab back to Imgur, pick the image, either from your open upload set, or "images store", and click edit (the little pen symbol).

Select Resize, make the maximum dimension 900, and remember to click "SAVE".
(If you don't click save, you have not made the changes "in the image used in the link").

Tab back to SB, preview again, and job done.

Note "if it cannot show one picture, it doesn't show any of them", so you may need to check them all in imgur, and simply "repeat" on each oversized image.

I guess it's the "save" button I missed out on. Will go back and try that. I'm having fun with imgbox, though. Will I get into trouble if I keep using that?

Seeing a number of members are unaware of how to resize in IMGUR, I've done a small pictorial guide to assist:

Load the picture you wish to resize into IMGUR. It can be very large size.

Click the photo you need to Edit, to bring up the edit icon (small pen) at lower left.)

Image
Left Click the small pen icon at lower left

The selected image will display a green frame and tick – click the ''edit'' button on the right
Image
This gives you access to the crop/resize option on the top left.

Overtype the dimension on the right with the highest value you wish to resize to. (900 is MAX here)
The program will automatically retain the correct proportion.
Image

When you are happy with the resize click on ''apply'' on the left, then Save on the centre top. The last bit is essential. Then image is saved to max size 900 or whatever.
Image

So you can type "900" on the longest size (max size we allow here) and then right click on the size next to it, and the IMGUR software adjusts it perfectly, to stay in original proportion.

Your image to load here will then be successfully resized.

So you can START with a large image of 9000 x 6000 - overtype 900 in the 9000 box, click the 6000 box and it will auto-software adjust to be 900 x 600. :)

No, and it's essential in the Sales section as you can't use Imgur there.

Welcome to Stampboards Sourangshu :D

In order to post images on Stampboards, you need to upload them on a third-party image hosting website and then copy the image code in order to post them here. There are a number of different websites which you can use - I personally use Imgur.

There is a tutorial with screenshots of every step here: https://www.stampboards.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=53532

You can practice posting photos here: https://www.stampboards.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=284

Stamper, sometimes (but not always) asking Google a question "straight up" will get a precise answer. In seconds!

The question would have been "...in 'your software,' where is the cropping function?" OR perhaps "how do I use the cropping function?" which means of necessity they must tell you where it is, then walk you through it.

Never underestimate Google.

Choose the ''800 x 800 RESIZED'' from the drop down choices. If you choose ''SQUARE'', any oblong stamp will post here SQUARE, or will show cropped off entirely at top or sides. :)

Choose link in the ''BB CODE'' option as shown at right - and as always manually delete the letter "s" after ''https'' from this string you copy, as you need to do on all images under current software.

It has taken me a while but I understand imgbox better now. I now realise that you can upload more than one image at a time and it creates links for each of them, rather than all of them (although you can post all at once if that is what is wanted).

But the pictures above show how to do upload, copy link, and post.

I don't know if this is already shown somewhere else, but I was faced with a conundrum that I could not find the answer to here (not having re-read every post), so having found it I thought I would provide the answer in case others have the same problem.

Supposing I upload one or more images as described, and do NOT immediately post them, and do not immediately copy the link. Or I go back to an image that I want to use again.

It isn't obvious where the links appear if you go back to your image library later.

* If, from the library, you click on an image the URL does not include a .jpg link, thus: https://imgbox.com/fSqBUqz4

* If you right click and 'View Image Info' you do get a .jpg URL to copy, which works as a link, but it is the larger image, not the 800 x 800 thumbnail.

So....
If you hover over a gallery image, a small orange box appears at left.
Image[/url]
If you click that box a tick appears, and a row of icons appears at the top right of the gallery.
Image
If you now click on the right-most icon, a pop-up shows the link codes.
Image
Not very intuitive and don't you just hate the grey on black?, but if you have time and patience, it seems that anything can be found!
